A bold move by end-to-end Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) provider The RightThing, Inc. will further balance its expertise in process-driven tactics with a renewed commitment to the latest recruiting strategies.
The RPO-industry leader today announced, at the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) 59th Annual Conference & Exposition in Las Vegas, the opening of a stand-alone recruitment operations center in Philadelphia, a first in the industry. This facility, which opened June 4, 2007, will focus solely on supporting the direct recruiting needs of The RightThing’s clients.
“It’s the evolving needs of our customers and the war for talent that require an industry investment of this magnitude,” said Jamie Minier, chief operating officer for The RightThing. “The RightThing has always viewed RPO from a holistic perspective. Opening this center strengthens that position – an unprecedented blend of the art of recruiting and the science of the process.”
The focus at The RightThing’s east coast facility will be to engage incremental recruiting strategies to aggressively recruit the top candidates. Methods such as competitive organizational mapping, advanced Internet searching, direct recruiting, and the use of blogs are a few tools that will provide client teams’ guidance and support to bolster their traditional sourcing methods.
“This significantly steps up the level of support we can provide companies from purely a recruiting standpoint,” said Terry Terhark, president of The RightThing. “There’s an increasing demand for talent, and a true recruiting priority is needed for RPO solutions to realize their full potential. This center is a bold move, but one that will produce immediate benefits to our clients.
Philadelphia was chosen for its proximity to the east coast, pharmaceutical companies and financial districts. Ten-year RPO industry executive Jan Grohoske, a vice president with The RightThing, will manage the facility and its innovative recruiting strategies. Another facility is being planned for the west region, giving The RightThing a presence on both coasts and in the Midwest.
“So many of our clients and the requests for proposals we see are saying that the need for incremental recruiting is vital,” Minier said. “This center dramatically increases our customers’ scalability and our capacity to provide the quality of services they require.”
