Houston and London (February 9, 2009) – EquaTerra announces the formation of EquaSiis, a wholly-owned company that will focus exclusively on helping shared services, outsourcing organizations and service providers gain market intelligence and improve operational performance through EquaSiis software and tools along with subscription and specific advisory services exclusively for service providers. EquaTerra is consolidating each of these existing businesses into a separate business unit, EquaSiis.

EquaTerra has seen an increasing market demand for its software – tools designed to create value for service delivery analysis and sourcing teams, shared services and outsourcing governance organizations. These organizations are seeking data, research and software to achieve cost reductions and best practices to support business decisions. In response EquaTerra created Governance WorkPlace® and Sourcing WorkPlace™, which will now be offered through EquaSiis.

According to Taylor Hawes, Controller, Financial Operations, Microsoft Corporation, “EquaSiis Enterprise™ developed in collaboration with Microsoft, is instrumental in the management of outsourcing relationships for Microsoft, with a global footprint of more than 90 countries. The Enterprise™ solution enables us to view and analyze data critical to our success. The value is significant given our ability to leverage our existing infrastructure including SharePoint® and SQL Server®.”

Additionally, EquaTerra has seen increased demand from outsourcing service providers in their desire to gain market insight. In order to separate its buy-side advisory from its service provider advisory, EquaSiis will now deliver service provider data and advisory services while EquaTerra will continue to offer advisory services to buy-side companies. All service provider advisory services will ensure that EquaTerra retains its unbiased approach in the marketplace.

Bill Weathersby will operate as president of EquaSiis and will be joined by a group of former EquaTerra research, data analysts and software experts who currently serve approximately 50 clients. EquaTerra will retain exclusive rights to the use of EquaSiis software – EquaSiis Enterprise™ (formerly GovernanceWorkplace®) and EquaSiis Workbench™ (formerly Sourcing WorkPlace™).
