ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NorthgateArinso, the global provider of HR systems and services, today announced that it has been awarded a seven-year HR outsourcing (HRO) contract from Energy Future Holdings Corp. (EFH), a Dallas-based energy holding company, servicing more than 2.1 million electricity customers in Texas. NorthgateArinso will implement a new HR Management System (HRMS) and provide HR administration and call center services to EFH’s over 14,000 employees and retirees.

EFH has engaged NorthgateArinso to help the company transform its HR services functions. NorthgateArinso will take on HR’s administrative processes, enabling the HR department to focus on more strategic issues within the organization. NorthgateArinso will also aid EFH in creating and architecting new processes to improve the overall efficiency of the HR function. EFH’s legacy system will be replaced with a state-of-the-art HRMS built on NorthgateArinso’s proven SAP-based euHReka platform.

The HRO contract with EFH is a significant win for NorthgateArinso as the company continues to grow and invest in its North American business— a key market for the global company.

“Choosing the right HRO provider was a critical decision for us. We went through an extensive market assessment, request for proposal, and selection process to find a provider that could deploy quickly, offer a breadth of services, and demonstrate a deep knowledge of HR governance and processes to meet our needs, today and in the future,” said Riz Chand, Executive Vice President, Human Resources & Administration, Energy Future Holdings Corp. “In the end, NorthgateArinso had the right combination of capabilities and resources to meet our needs. They have proven experience in timely deployments and offered the expertise and services to address our complex environment.”

“This win is important because it was born solely within North America and furthers our goal of becoming the preferred HR software and services vendor in the region,” said Kay Mason, President, NorthgateArinso US. “We pride ourselves on being a global company that can meet the needs of multinational organizations, but this same excellence in service translates just as well to regional organizations, and we look forward to a long and mutually valued relationship with EFH.”

Implementation began in November 2008 and will be completed within an eight-month period.
